STATERA: Hidden Mass Estimation via Zero-Shot Sim-to-Real Kinematics using Frozen Temporal Tubelets

The paper proposes STATERA, a method for estimating the center-of-mass (CoM) of opaque, asymmetric rigid bodies from short monocular videos using a pretrained video backbone with frozen weights and a lightweight temporal tubelet mixer. The approach is evaluated on the HiddenMass Benchmark, showing improved CoM error reduction and better physics capture compared to existing methods.
