PsyBer-Agent: A Psychology-Driven User Agent for Recommender Systems

PsyBer-Agent is a psychology-driven simulator for evaluating recommender systems, modeling user dynamics like fatigue and shifting preferences through its Psy-Engine. It uses Unbalanced Gromov--Wasserstein optimal transport to align simulated behavior with real interaction logs, offering structured supervision without fine-tuning the underlying LLM. The framework includes WebSim and the PsyBer Benchmark, testing behavioral fidelity and robustness across seven recommender backbones.
