Do Vision CIL Methods Transfer to Protein? A Diagnostic Benchmark of Frozen Protein Encoders

This paper investigates how well vision-based class-incremental learning (CIL) methods transfer to frozen protein encoders. A benchmark was conducted with nine CIL methods across five sequence-, structure-, and sequence-structure-based protein encoders on two enzyme function datasets.
