The user in the LLM might be a moral patient too (a strange implication of the PSM and simulators)

The authors suggest that, conditional on attributing moral weight to the assistant, one should also consider the moral weight of the user persona. Their argument is based on the idea that moral patients associated with LLMs might be simulated characters, and the user could also be morally relevant. This leads to the conclusion that every time a user interacts with an AI, a morally relevant simulacrum of the user is created.
