Before It Fades: Reinforcing Temporal Representations at Inference Time in VideoLLMs

The paper addresses the issue of temporal reasoning in Video Large Language Models (VideoLLMs), where reversing the frame order of a video often does not affect the final prediction. The study introduces a method called Temporal Activation Injection (TAI) to improve temporal reasoning without training, showing consistent improvements across multiple models and benchmarks.
