DAEDALUS: Bootstrapping Agent Memory from Self-Generated Tasks

The paper introduces DAEDALUS, a method for building agent memory through self-generated tasks without prior knowledge or oracle verifiers. It uses two agents: an explorer that creates tasks and a solver that attempts them, with heuristics derived from solver failures and successes. DAEDALUS improves success rates and pass^5 metrics across multiple benchmarks compared to baselines and methods using training tasks.

WHY IT MAY MATTER

DAEDALUS can help improve agent reliability in new environments by building reusable memory through self-generated tasks without relying on human guidelines or oracle verifiers.
