ReTerm: Recovery Training for Self-Improving Terminal Agents

ReTerm is a self-improving terminal agent that learns to recover from its own failed tasks. It uses a custom data pipeline and a dataset called ReTerm-10K to support training, along with an online RL algorithm called ReTerm-GRPO that generates self-recovery attempts. The model achieves 34.8% Pass@1 on Terminal-Bench 2.0, showing improved recovery rates over standard GRPO training.

WHY IT MAY MATTER

ReTerm helps terminal agents recover from errors during long-running tasks by learning from their own failures, improving task completion rates.
