What Users Think of Generative AI: A Cross-Platform NLP Analysis of Trust and Friction in App Store Reviews

This study analyzes app store reviews for six generative AI applications, using BERTopic and RoBERTa to identify topics and sentiment. It finds that negative sentiment is concentrated in areas like advertising and subscription pricing, with significant differences across applications. The research also highlights potential trust and usability barriers specific to each app.
